How We Started (And Why It Matters)

Back in 2022, I was consulting for a mid-size manufacturing company in Plovdiv. Their finance team was drowning in compliance requirements they couldn't quite grasp. Sound familiar? They had all the right software, expensive consultants, even a decent budget — but somehow, the pieces weren't clicking.

That's when it hit me. The problem wasn't the tools or the money. It was the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application. Everyone was teaching what to do, but nobody was showing how to actually do it in real business situations.

We built BrightonLum around one simple idea: bridge that gap. Make budget compliance something people can actually understand and use, not just survive.

Nevena brings fifteen years of hands-on experience from both sides of the compliance world. She spent eight years in corporate finance roles — from analyst to controller — before moving into training and consultation.
